(born 1972) Arizona native, Matthew Harkleroad, earned his BFA in sculpture from Arizona State University. This sculptural foundation in materials combined with an abiding love of drawing and painting continue to inform and inspire his surfaces, edges, textures and use of color. After moving to Seattle, Harkleroad earned his Masters in Teaching from Seattle University. He has been teaching art in Seattle ever since.

Harkleroad has shown his artwork in local, regional and international juried exhibitions and was recently included in the city of Bellevue, WA portable art collection.

Harkleroad continues to enjoy working collaboratively with artists in the US and internationally.
